Atlanta, Ga. USA – 23 May 2017 – Barco, a global leader in healthcare imaging, continues to impress radiologists around the world with its best-in-class diagnostic display systems designed to help radiologists work more efficiently and diagnose with higher accuracy. These solutions will be on display at SIIM 2017, held June 1-3 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“In an era of tight healthcare resources and continued pressures on cost containment, it is critical for radiologists to both improve workflow and enhance diagnostic accuracy to promote healthy patient outcomes,” comments Lynda Domogalla, Vice President Product Marketing Healthcare for Barco. “The Coronis Uniti display system was designed to boost clinical productivity while helping radiologists work more comfortably as they endeavor to meet the imaging needs of a demanding healthcare environment.”
Diagnose better, treat faster with one display
Delivering on the promise of “one display, any image,” the Coronis Uniti display system offers a giant, 12 megapixel screen that enables radiologists to efficiently view all exams on a single display to make a better diagnosis. This also reduces the complexity and cost of the workstation footprint and eliminates the need for changing displays and/or reading images at separate locations. Capable of displaying PACS and mammography images, the Coronis Uniti presents perfect color and grayscale, 2D and 3D, static and dynamic images. Additional proprietary intuitive workflow features help boost diagnostic accuracy and reduce occupational stress.
New study proves higher luminance displays increase detection and diagnostic accuracy
A new study led by Dr. Claudio Ferranti of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, Italy, recently confirmed that display luminance has a positive impact on the detectability of breast microcalcifications and spiculated lesions. The findings suggest a 10 percent or more increased detectability in digital breast tomosynthesis images (calibrated at 1000 cd/m2 vs. 500-600 cd/m2). The study used DBT (digital breast tomosynthesis) cases, some with spiculated lesions, some with clustered microcalcifications and some without lesions. The Coronis Uniti 12MP display with higher luminance improved correct detection with both increased sensitivity and increased specificity compared to the displays calibrated at lower luminance levels. The pinnacle of precision for mammography imaging
Our Nio High-Bright Color 5MP display system features 5.8 MP resolution (2100x2800), allowing clinicians to fit more of the breast image on the display to speed their workflow. Integrated smart features, like SpotView™ and DimView™, allow radiologists to hone in on areas of interest to improve diagnostic accuracy while enhancing their reading efficiency.
Proven productivity gains with multi-modality imaging leader
The Coronis Fusion 6MP offers new features that increase radiologist productivity to help hospitals achieve higher ROI in their reading rooms. Increased luminance delivers 50% more light (600 cd/m2) to display 10% more JNDs and reveal clinical details more quickly for a more certain diagnosis.
Home office solutions deliver consistent image quality and performance
Radiologists who work from home must be able to report and verify reports on PACS. The Nio Color 2MP LED is the perfect choice, thanks to excellent image consistency due to superior color accuracy, brightness and contrast.
