In shock I searched but nowhere found
A person or other source of that sound
Then I looked down
Seeing the big frown
Of a Christmas elf looking up from the ground

The figure in green said Santa was not amused
He actually scared me with the language he used

Would either be broken or severely bruised

I told that to finish the job I needed to work late
While my colleagues were home to celebrate
I explained to the elf
