Tom Folsom to Head Brightline’s Architectural & Specification Sales in Western Region

BRIDGEVILLE, PA – Brightline, a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting systems, has contracted with Tom Folsom, president of KTRP, Inc., a California company specializing in unique lighting solutions for construction and architectural design. Brightline and Folsom expect to grow sales throughout the western U.S. and Canada. “We’re excited to bring Tom on board,” remarked Kathy Katz, a partner at Brightline. “Tom has a high level of expertise that will serve our customers well. Brightline is splitting our Western sales efforts into two distinct areas—Architectural and Specification sales, and AV and Broadcast sales. This will allow us to better serve our clients by providing them access to experts who are very familiar with their unique needs and routes to market. It also helps us to forecast future trends by giving us a better perspective of both industry segments.”

An expert on routes to market and product development, Tom Folsom has worked around the world on projects in China, Argentina, Brazil, Singapore, Japan, Europe and North America. Prior to joining Brightline, Folsom worked as General Manager of Strand Lighting, a division of Phillips Electronics Group, where sales and market penetration increased under his guidance—despite the economic recession. Independently, through a contract with the County of Los Angeles, Tom recently managed the new design and renovation of the Mark Taper Forum Theatre within the Los Angeles Music Center. This award-winning project, with a scope that included a 30-million-dollar, 3-year renovation of the theater, was completed both on time and on budget.

In his new position as head of Western Architectural & Specification Sales at Brightline, Tom will be responsible for heading a specialty sales team that focuses solely on lighting for construction and architectural clients. His territory will include Alaska, Arizona, California, western Canada, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. To contact Tom Folsom regarding Brightline’s Western Architectural & Specification Sales, please call 714-655-9686 or email tfolsom@brightlines.com.
