Educational institutions in India choose Christie

BANGALORE, India –  An increasing number of tertiary institutions in India have placed their trust in Christie’s high-performance and dependable laser projection systems and LED video wall solutions to deliver exceptional educational experiences.

Inspired and convinced by how high-quality display technology can increase student engagement and learning with life-like visuals and uncompromising clarity, the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) in Madhya Pradesh, the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) in Maharashtra, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) in Gujarat, and Nalanda University in Bihar have recently invested in Christie’s display solutions to achieve this desired outcome.

Altogether, these tertiary institutions have installed a significant number of Christie laser projection systems comprising the HS Series, GS Series, Captiva Series, and APS Series laser projectors in various venues such as lecture halls and classrooms. In addition, IIT Indore set up four large-sized video walls on its campus that are made up of 144 Christie Core Series LED tiles with a pixel pitch of 1.8mm.

"As educational institutions align themselves to achieve India’s vision to become a world leader in science and technology that in turn ushers in greater economic growth, there has been a strong demand for display technologies to transform the learning environment," said Rishubh Nayar, sales director for India, Enterprise, Christie. "Thanks to our strong track record in delivering high-performance, versatile and flexible display systems, we have seen an uptick in the deployment of our laser projection and LED solutions by tertiary institutions over the last 12 months."

Nayar noted that the IITs and IIMs have a good understanding of how display technologies can complement learning by simplifying the user experience and enhancing engagement with students. "That’s why laser projection and direct-view LED technologies are the preferred choice due to their excellent image quality and color reproduction, ease of use, installation flexibility, low maintenance, and affordability. They are perfect for high-usage environments such as education," he said.

To provide clients with complete peace of mind, Nayar added that Christie’s aftersales service and repair center for projectors and LED tiles in its Bangalore office has a team of highly qualified technicians who can carefully restore equipment to working order, extending the life of the products.

In particular, the HS Series comes with onboard Christie Twist™ warping and blending engine and optional Christie Mystique™ automated camera-based alignment tools that make setup, alignment, recalibration and maintenance of multi-projector systems quick and easy. As well, the Christie Captiva ultra-short throw laser projector, with 20,000 hours of low-cost and reliable operation, is well-suited for smaller venues such as classrooms and conference rooms.

Versatile, dynamic and valuable for branding, information sharing, entertainment or digital signage applications, Christie’s LED solutions are known for their modern aesthetics, superior visuals and performance.
