Haivision’s enterprise video solutions, including the Haivision Media Platform, Makito X encoders, and CoolSign digital signage platform, are now accredited for deployment within the Department of Defense

WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 23, 2018 — Haivision, a market leader in enterprise video and streaming solutions, today announced that the company’s solutions are now accredited by The Defense Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF). The accreditation authorizes the use of Haivision’s IPTV, enterprise all hands, and digital signage solutions on the Department of Defense (DOD) Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router NETwork (NIPRNET).

Building on their Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List (DODIN APL) certification in 2017, Haivision has committed to providing all branches of government with high-quality products that contain AES 256 encryption providing low latency streaming video over potentially unstable networks.

The Haivision products included on the approval list are as follows:

  • Makito X H.264 and HEVC encoders
  • Haivision Media Platform
  • Haivision Media Gateway
  • Haivision Set-Top Box
  • Kraken Transcoder
  • CoolSign digital signage server software and CoolSign Display Engine II

Haivision video streaming solutions are used around the world in defense, enterprise, and broadcast situations, with clients such as Air Combat Command, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, NASA, BP, the Hearst Corporation, and Fox Sports 1. The company has been providing these solutions since 2004, and is widely recognized as an industry leader and innovator.

“More than ever before, security is the number one priority for all government organizations, and we are firmly committed to ensuring our customers have full confidence in their enterprise video management platform,” said Andy Vaughan, executive vice president of North American sales. “This accreditation shows that we take that commitment seriously and ensures that federal organizations are getting the highest-quality streaming video solutions, built with their unique challenges and environment in mind.”

Haivision has also been granted Common Criteria certification for the Makito video encoder, and is the only business to offer both commercial-grade and airborne ruggedized H.264 encoding with MISP and STANAG 4609 KLV compliance.
