ONE LUCKY WINNER AT PAL

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – September 2009… CinequipWhite Incorporated and Lectrosonics are pleased to announce that during the PAL show this past August 23rd and 24th at the Toronto International Centre, the two companies bestowed a Lectrosonics TM400 wireless system for test and measurement on one lucky show attendee. The lucky winner was Glenn Cooper, Technical Director at the Aultsville Theatre— located on the Cornwall campus of St. Lawrence College, along the shores of the scenic St. Lawrence River in Eastern Ontario. The PAL show is Canada’s largest production technologies trade show for pro audio, lighting, video, staging, and software products.

Colin Bernard, Lectrosonics’ Director of Canadian Operations, commented on the decision to award one lucky show attendee with a TM system. “The Lectrosonics TM400 wireless system for test and measurement is an exceptional audio engineer’s tool for live sound applications,” Bernard said. “The TM400 was designed as the ideal link between calibrated test microphones and measurement equipment such as SIM®, SIA SMAART Live®, TEF® or other systems. By using a radio link, long cables can be eliminated, thus saving time and providing opportunities for additional measurements to increase accuracy. The ability to evenly distribute one’s voice throughout a theater is critical to the success of any production and the TM system is a first-rate tool for ensuring accurate acoustic measurements. It’s the ideal system to help with theatrical sound issues.”

In order to ensure absolute fairness and impartiality, the actual drawing was conducted by Al Kowalenko, Executive Director of PAL. “We were absolutely delighted that the winner was a small, modern regional non-profit theater,” notes Arsenault. “Mr. Cooper is exactly the type of person we were hoping to reach through this joint promotion.”

The Aultsville Theatre is a 680-seat, professionally equipped theater that has played host to a myriad of world-class performances. Glenn Cooper, the theater’s Technical Director, commented on his recent good fortune. “I’m positively delighted,” said Cooper. “The Aultsville Theatre is primarily a road house and, this being the case, we get many performers coming through who prefer to use their own sound rigs. The TM will not simply be used for a one time only set up but will, instead, be used help us provide quality sound for our patrons—no matter which rig is brought in.”
