May 12, 2022 - Lectrum recently had the opportunity to supply a custom-designed Aero to Rosebud RSL in Victoria.

After a fresh rebrand, Rosebud RSL wanted to up the ante on its overall presentation especially at public events hosted onsite. A crucial component in the process was, of course, finding a professional and brand-able lectern.

So Brett Rowlands, General Manager at Rosebud RSL, did what most people would do and turned to Google for options.

"We did a Google search as you do for something that you only buy once in your life. We got three quotes from different companies. The professionalism that was on display on Lectrum's website made the decision fairly easy."

Brett picked the Lectrum Aero for its slick appearance and ability to be customised to precisely fit a venue's needs.

The team at Lectrum created a number of mockups. Given the RSL was counting on its lectern looking shipshape for a long time, the main dress panel Rosebud RSL logo is placed on a hard wearing surface rather than the usual felt-over-wood surface. This additionally ensures the lectern will survive plenty of outdoor use. The RSL's tagline 'Excellence in Service' is displayed boldly on the lower panel.

"We've all seen lecterns that get tatty over time," says Brett. "I wanted a lectern that would display our logo and tagline for years to come. Lectrum came up with an option that delivers exactly what I needed, and whatever I asked for, nothing was a drama."

On top of the customisations, a major upcoming event in Rosebud RSL's calendar necessitated a quick turnaround.

"My big caveat was to have the lectern in place for our biggest day of the year, ANZAC Day," says Brett. "Lectrum delivered. It's really nice when you deal with a supplier who is able to deliver on its promise."

Once the packaging was ripped open, the brilliant blue Lectrum Aero didn't fail to impress.

"The Lectrum presented more professionally in person than the mockups represented," says Brett. "It's hardy, it's durable, it looks schmick. We now present like a professional organisation."
