Meyer Sound Wins Six Industry Awards at InfoComm 2013  Meyer Sound products and installations have been honored with six industry awards at Orlando InfoComm 2013. The honors come from the AV Technology Awards, the Rental and Staging Systems Product Awards, and the NewBay Media ProAV Spotlight Awards.

AV Technology has named theCAL column array loudspeaker the Best New Product for a Transportation Environment, while the CAL loudspeaker installation at University of California Berkeley's Memorial Stadium has been named the Most Improved Sound System.

Installed with a Meyer Sound Constellation acoustic system and Libra acoustic image system, Berkeley restaurantComal has won both AV Technology's Best Restaurant/Retail System and the ProAV Spotlight Awards' Best Hospitality/Restaurant Installation.

The Robert N. Miner Auditorium at the SFJAZZ Center has won a ProAV Spotlight Award for Best Arts/Entertainment Installation.

The Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system has won a Rental & Staging Systems Product Award in the category of Best Audio Control or Mixing Product.

Explaining why the CAL loudspeaker was chosen as a winner, one judge says: "I installed these speakers in our latest expansion project. The performance is better than expected in a very challenging environment."

Judges have similar praise for the CAL installation at Memorial Stadium: "The use of Meyer Sound's unique aesthetic properties and sound configuration capabilities makes this installation a clear winner based on client needs. This ranks high in innovation, reliability, versatility, and ROI."

CAL is a self-powered loudspeaker system designed for high performance applications in reverberant environments where a very low architectural profile is desired. CAL systems are uniquely capable of providing extremely high intelligibility with precise coverage.

In 2012, the Memorial Stadium at UC Berkeley installed 40 CAL loudspeakers as part of its two-year, $321 million upgrade project. Acoustical consultants for the project were Dallas-basedWrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc. with installation by Parsons Technologies of Minneapolis, Minn.

SFJAZZ features a Meyer Sound's MINA line array loudspeaker system installed by BBI Engineering. The sound system and acoustics design was handled by SIA Acoustics.

Opened in 2012, Comal has received national press coverage for its pioneering use of Constellation and Libra. The system allows restaurant management to dynamically control the sonic ambience of the space and maintain the desired level of energized "buzz" while still allowing intimate conversations. BugID of San Francisco installed the system, while Abueg Morris Architects was project architect.
